The Curious Case of Benjamin Button...
was basically a three hour long chic flic, and amazing at that--watching Brad Pitt for almost three hours was a wonderful thing to be subjected to.
The film starts off with a clock, that was made by a blind man who had lost his son at war, he made the clock that turned time backwards so that he could possibly rewind time to get his son back...but some magical force, created Benjamin Button.
Benjamin met his lover (Daisy) when he was old/young and they were together for awhile, but as Benjamin was growing younger, she was growing older so there maturity levels were
different, plus Benjamin didnt want to look like a pedifile hangin with the adorable little Daisy.
Over time Benjamin was out working and learning to live, and Daisy was growing up and being a ballerina. Benjamin would go to visit Daisy, but with the age difference being an issue Daisy never really wanted Benjamin. Later on Daisy gets hurt, Benjamin comes to the rescue and Daisy denys him and tells him that she never wants to see him. So Benjamin goes on with his life...but he eventually comes home one weekend and sees Daisy. For the next 10 or 15 years they spend all there time together and they make lots of love...and then Daisy gets pregnant. They have the baby. And then Benjamin has to leave.
I know its confusing^...
If you were curious---
yes the movie is long...and at times you feel like you need a break from it because its just about as long as the Lord of the Rings (the fellowship), but its a great movie.
I would give it a B for Brad (:
Long movies...Do you like them?

hmmm well i guess it depends on the movie that i was watching. Like you used the Lord of the Rings as an example. Those are amazing movies and definitely worth sitting there for 3 hours watching it. But Benjamin Button actually doesn't sound like a very good movie. I don't particularly like this Daisy character. I mean, she denies this guy her entire life and now since he's young and hot she wants to be with him? Can you say shallow?
ReplyDeleteI hate long movies. I can barely watch movies as it is, and if it's too long, I'll quickly lose interest. I hearc that Benjamin Button was a very good movie though. Maybe I'll rent it when it comes out.
ReplyDeleteIf it is a good movie, yes. I couldn't stand sitting through a 3 hour movie that was bad. This movie sounds interesting and I might want to go see it. It does sound like it could possibly be boring, but I guess I will just have to watch it to see.
ReplyDeleteIf it's a good long movie yes, if it is one of the ones that goes on and on for hours at a time that makes you look at your watch, no.
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't matter really how long a movie is as long as the plot or story is captivating. It catches me and I can't help but watch when I should be doing something else.
No...not really I dislike movies that drag on and on. I kinda like them at a descent length. Not to short. I really did make an exception for this movie because they kept me intersted the entire time. I would be willing to watch it again, minus the tears this time.
