The Haunting in Connecticut

The Haunting In Connecticut

"what have you done to yourself?" -The mom

The haunting in Connecticut gave you a variety of emotional feelings throught the film. At one moment your calm, then your scared, then your happy, then your sad...and so on.

My favorite types of movies are scary movies, so it's hard for me to 'dis' a movie thats scary, because I like them all. Unless they are ridiculous and not scary (like the unborn). Anyways this movie was actually really good. I didn't expect much from a PG13 rated scary movie, because those typically wrap up the ending to make it end happy.

The Haunting in Connecticut starts off with the family of six that are living in a small house. They decide to move closer to the hopsital where they can care for there oldest son, who has cancer and is dying. Since he is dying he is considerd to be a "median" so he can see ghosts and real people together. Thats how he is able see the demons that are haunting the house in Connecticut. The house is really old, like all typical haunted houses and it has a background story, it was where they use to perform seances and it was a funeral home (seances are when the living try and contact the dead).

This movie was pretty thrilling and for a new spin on the haunted house scare, im giving it a -C.

Have you ever tried to perform a "seance", or play any game to contact the dead? -tell me about it!

  1. I have never done anything like that. I would be too much of a scaredy cat to do it!! Honestly, if I tried to contact the dead and it worked I would most likely have a heart attack.
I want to go see this movie though.
I heard it was good, but confusing.

  2. Ohhhhh yes!! and i swear to God it worked too! me and my friend sierra had a 3 hour seance in my basement back in july. it was really cool. ok, we had this big piece of cardboard so we put 6 candles on it in the shape of a star(5 points, 1 in the middle) and label the one in the middle the purity candle the one on the top the spirit candle, then going clockwise, air, earth, fire, and water. we put on some pink floyd music cuz she said we needed creepy seance music. and we just started asking random questions to the spirits. like yes or no questions(if yes will the spirit candle flicker and stuff like that) and it was so cool. at one point though, it got a little creepy because we asked if there were any evil spirits around us and every single candle went out in a puff all at the same time. all the windows and doors were closed. the ceiling fan was off. there was no wind or breeze or anything. and all the candles went out. it was creepy but really awesome.

And I thought that I was the coolest thing that ever crossed the earth.
In other words I was an insane child.
But I kind of want to see this movie now. :]

  4. When I was like, nine I dug the fake ouija board out of my sister's closet and convinced myself some outer world was talking to me.

my brother-in-law totally know that house, they used to live like two blocks down from it and it's for real haunted.
